MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITY PROFESSORS,
UNIVERSITY OF TOLEDO CHAPTER

and

THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF TOLEDO

Whereas, UT-AAUP has adopted a percentage membership dues and "Fair Share" structure applied to all salary paid to bargaining unit members; and Whereas, the language of Article 21.4 of the contract between the parties, dated May 1, 1993, contemplates equal dollar amount deductions; and Whereas, accommodating such a percentage approach in the contractually contemplated payroll deduction plan would be an administrative nightmare for the University's payroll office; now therefore it is Agreed that membership dues and "Fair Share" deductions shall be made from all paychecks of faculty bargaining unit members on a straight percentage basis; and It is further agreed that UT-AAUP shall notify all members of the bargaining unit of this change.
